vegan grasshopper cocktail

We always make this drink, for ourselves and for our friends who want something that doesn’t taste like alcohol but still has some alcohol in it. It's really easy to make for a cocktail, with only three ingredients if you don't consider ice an ingredient. This tastes like a minty milkshake, great with chocolate cookies or brownies or just drinking straight at a St. Patrick's Day party.

 

 

Simple Method

Makes 1 drink

  • 3 shots non-dairy milk (our favorite is almond) 
  • 1 1/2 shots white creme de cacao 
  • 1/2 shot green creme de menthe 

Pour the ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker. Then shake, and strain into a glass.

Frozen Method

Makes 2-3 drinks

  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk (our favorite is almond) 
  • 3 shots white creme de cacao 
  • 1 shot green creme de menthe 
  • 7-8 ice cubes (about a handful or two)

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until consistent. To make it even creamier, replace the ice cubes with cubes made out more non-dairy milk.
